2012 Susquehanna River Valley Event Calendar
At Our Campground and in the Local Area
Including Lewisburg, Mifflinburg, Northumberland, Lycoming County/Hughesville, Sunbury, Milton, Bloomsburg & Beyond!
Here at the Nittany Mountain KOA, we are pleased to offer a wide variety of fun activities for all ages. We have a long list of Theme Weekends to make your camping trip even more fun. In addition to all these events, we have a regular schedule of Hayrides, Fire Truck Rides, Ice Cream Socials, Bingo, Ceramics, Wii Games, Indoor & Outdoor Drive In Movies, and so much more!

APRIL
April 6-8: Hippity Hoppity Easter Party:
Start the camping season off with a whole lot of fun! Enjoy decorating Easter Eggs and Kid's Easter Egg Hunt. There will be a free pancake breakfast on Sunday morning…and a visit from the Easter Bunny!
April 13-15: Spring Camper Appreciation Weekend:
We want to thank you for being great campers. Seasonal Campers are invited to the Spring Seasonal Camper Meeting on Saturday morning. Join us for a fun game of "Grab Bag Bingo," and bring your appetite to the Free Pasta Dinner. Get a coupon for a free night to come back over the summer.
April 20-22: Spring Cleaning Yard Sale Weekend:
Clean out the garage, your house and your RV & set up your "yard" sale right at your campsite. This event will be advertised locally and open to the public all day Saturday. Our large Indoor Recreation Hall will be used in the event of bad weather. Clean out the garage, your house and your RV & set up your "yard" sale right at your campsite. April 27-29: Open House & RV Show Weekend:
Come and check out the great choices of new campers from several local RV dealers. Take a Hayride tour of the campground and take a chance of winning one of our great prizes and giveaways. You do not need to camp with us this weekend to enjoy the show, but you will miss out on the fun at Ceramics, Bingo, and more!
This event is open to the public and will be advertised locally! Invite your friends over to check out the campers and the park.

May 4- May 6: Cinco de Mayo Fiesta:
Hola Amigos! We are planning a spicy weekend! Pinatas, Arts & Crafts, Pin the Tail on the Donkey and Hot Pepper Eating Contest are just the beginning. Join us for a Taco Dinner Party on Saturday Night ($) We will have margaritas for the adults!
May 11-13: Mother's Day Weekend & "COME CAMP AND CARE WITH US WEEKEND":
Have a fun & special weekend, treating Mom to a good time and helping to support a great cause! Kids can make a special treat for Mom, then, she gets to enjoy a "Ladies Only" Wine & Cheese Party. Everyone is welcome to join us for our giant Chinese Auction Fundraiser for KOA Care Camps. Finish the weekend with an "All You Can Eat" Breakfast on Sunday – Mom's Eat Free!

May 18-20: Pajama Party Weekend:
Get comfy and cozy this weekend in your favorite PJ's. Party games and pillow fights will be some of the fun. Join us for a night time milk & cookies party..but you have to wear your pajamas to attend!
May 25-28: Memorial Day Weekend:
Come celebrate the first big weekend of the camping season. All the summer fun starts now! The Snack Bar & Swimming Pools open for the season. Fire Truck rides, Hayrides, Golf Cart & Bicycle Parade, Horseshoe Tournament, Bingo, Family Kickball Challenge, Site Sales, Live Music Drive In Movie and the fun goes on and on... !

JUNE
June 1-3: Candy Pallooza!:
Bring your sweet tooth for this sugar filled weekend. Fun Candy games, Candy Bar Bingo, and the Giant Chocolate Slip & Slide will send your sugar levels flying, then join us for a fun candy topped cupcake party to keep you up all night!
June 8-10: Fishing Derby & Strawberry Festival:
Summer is on the way! Enter to Win a great Prize in our Fishing Derby on Saturday – open to all ages! There will be arts & crafts, Drive In Movie & a Free Strawberry Shortcake Social for all to enjoy.
June 15-17: Father's Day Weekend and Classic & Vehicle Show:
It's Dad's turn to have a special weekend. Check out all the classic & custom at our Classic Car Show on Saturday. Dad's get a "Boys Night Out – Men Only" Wings & Brews party on Saturday with a Texas Hold'em Tournament. Treat Dad to an "All You Can Eat" Breakfast on Sunday morning. ($) Dad's eat Free!
Car show will be advertised locally and will be open to the public. Register ($) a Vehicle to show & get a Free Night. Prizes awarded in several categories.
June 22-24: Kids Krazy Weekend:
It's time for the "Slop-stacle Course!" Kids get messy, sloppy & covered in goo in this fun & unique sloppy obstacle course event. Kids get a special Hayride just for them with a secret surprise. There will be a DJ Dance party, Candy Bar Bingo, and more will keep the kids busy all weekend long
JULY
June 29- July 1: Ragun' Cajun' Party:
Come have fun at our wild Mardi Gras weekend. Collect beads to win prizes, fish for alligators, help decorate our hayride or your bike & golf carts for the big float parade. Enjoy a great southern classic "Low Country Boil" supper. ($)
July 2-6: JULY 4TH WEEK Celebrations:
Celebrate Independence Day with our weeklong celebration. We will have games, and events, arts & crafts, parades, adult swims and more to keep you busy all week long.
July 6-8: Wet & Wild Water Party:
Bring your biggest squirt gun or Super Soaker for the Water Wars & the always wild "Wet" Fire Truck Ride. Come to the Tie Dye Party ($), try out the super slip & slide and bubble foam party, and get your tickets for the delicious Pig Roast Dinner ($) Stay up for the live musical party.
July 13-15: Christmas in July:
Ho, ho, ho! Santa's coming camping! Have fun making arts & crafts, and decorating your campsites. ($) Prize awarded for the best decorated site. Parents bring a wrapped present because Santa will be coming to visit. He will hand out the gifts to all the good little girls & boys. Enjoy a fun cookie decorating party Saturday night.
July 20-22: Sawmill Festival #1:
This weekend will challenge your skills and test your strength. There is a very full schedule of events, including Nail Driving Contests, Log Rolling, Cross Cut Saw, Watermelon Seed Spitting, Tug of Water, Blindfold Boat Race, Greased Pole Climb, and even more..! There is an event for all ages and skill levels. Finish the weekend with the Awards Ceremony.

AUGUST
August 3-5: Wild West Gold Rush Weekend:
Yee Haw Folks! This will be a good old time! Pan for Gold Mine Sluice, or try your skills at the bicycle rodeo. Have a friend or foe "arrested" and thrown in our real cowboy jail. This is a great fundraiser for KOA Care Camps. You stay in the "pokey" until someone bails you out! Bring your appetite to the Free Corn & Hot Dog Roast on Saturday night. We will be cooking up a big batch of fresh local corn and roasting hot dogs for all to enjoy or you can bring your own BBQ items to cook over the grills.
August 10-12: Family Olympics:
Get your family teams together and join in on the fun filled games of skill, luck, and creativity. Plan ahead for the highlight of the day … The annual "Float Your Boat" competition. Build your best creation of cardboard, plastic wrap & duct tape only. Then get on board, to paddle across our pond.
Seasonal Campers are invited to attend the Seasonal Camper Meeting. Get all the information and start planning for the 2013 camping season.
August 17-19: Super Summer Carnival Fun:
Come enjoy a great time at our own country carnival. You can try to win a prize at the Ring Toss, Duck Pond, Dart Throw and more! Giant Bounce Course will keep the kids going all day. Don't forget - The Little League World Series will be starting this weekend!
August 24-26: Little League World Series Weekend:
It will be a home run weekend that is all about baseball. The Little League World Series Championship Games will be held over this weekend, but if you decide not to go to the games, we will keep you running the bases back at the park.

SEPTEMBER
August 31-September 3: Labor Day Weekend:
It may be the end of Summer, but the fun will just not stop now. We will keep the party going with Candy Bar Bingo, Fire Truck Rides, Mini Golf Tournament, Site Sales, Ceramics, Horseshoe Tournament, live music and so much more! Swimming pools close for the season.
September 7-9: Annual Chili Cook-Off:
Cook up a batch of your best Chili Recipe and bring it to our annual Chili Competition. Make enough for your fellow campers try. They will be the judges! ($) Prizes awarded for the winners. We will be cooking up our own batch of chili & homemade cornbread for all to enjoy. Bring your bowls & spoons!
September 14-16: Apple Festival:
Fall is in full swing now and the apples are in season. Come enjoy our fresh apple cider, arts & crafts, and a big batch of warm apple crisp for dessert.
September 21-23: Fair Weekend:
It time for the opening weekend of the 157th Annual Bloomsburg Fair! Have a great time on the rides, playing games, and eating all your favorite "fair foods" at this great event. Check out www.Bloomsburgfair.com for the full calendar of events and performances
September 28-30: Fall Camper Appreciation Party:
We want to thank you for staying with us this year. Join us for a Free Pig Roast & Pot Luck Dinner followed by a Gourmet S'mores party. The more you stayed throughout the season, the bigger discount. If you stayed 1-3 Nights – save $5.00 off per night, 4-7 Nights – save $10.00 per night, 8-12 Nights – save $15.00 off per night, 13 nights or more – Get a Free Night. Kids will all kamp free.

OCTOBER
October 5-7: Fall Harvest Festival:
We will be celebrating all the best of the fall season. We will be cooking up a big batch of homemade and Ham & Bean Soup and pressing fresh apple cider for everyone to enjoy. There will be pumpkins to decorate, and caramel apples to eat. End the evening with a fun Wine & Cheese Party for Adults on Saturday. We will have Cider & Cookies for the kids, too!

October 12-14: Halloween Party Weekend #1:
Dress up as your best little ghost or goblin and come to our fun Halloween Costume Contest & Party. This is fun for all ages, not just the kids! You can even dress up your pet! Enter the Site Decorating Contest and Trick or Treat to all the campsites. Take advantage of some super bargains at our storewide "Moonlight Madness Sale." Get ready to scream when you creep your way through our Haunted House & Terror Maze! You never know what may be lurking in the darkness! ($)
Haunted House & Maze will be advertised locally & Open to the public. Invite your friends over for a frightening good time!
October 19-21: Halloween Party #2:
We just can't get enough of the Halloween fun! Come back again, and join in on same fun that we had on Halloween #1.
October 26-28: End Of Season Wind Down Weekend:
Well…we knew that all good things must come to an end, on this last camping weekend. Join us for the "Clean Up" ice cream social, and check out the blow out prices on the end of season sale.
