Knoebels Amusement Resort

History and Heritage
Joseph Priestley House
Joseph Priestley House was the American home of Joseph Priestley, an English theologian, scientist, natural philosopher, teacher, linguist, historian and important figure of the Anglo-American enlightenment. The home is furnished with authentic period objects, as well as exhibits presenting Priestley’s accomplishments and varied interests.
Miffinburg Buggy Museum
From 1883 to 1920, William A. Heiss operated a successful buggy making business. When he died in 1931, the factory was closed. For years, the building was used for storage, but mostly it lay forgotten. Almost 50 years later, the doors were opened to reveal an original shop with belting and pulleys, tools, machinery and forges. It was as if William Heiss and his workers had simply walked away. We invite you to step back in time and visit with the Heiss family, come to the museum and experience Buggy Town in person.
Packwood House Museum
Packwood House Museum opened to the public in 1976. Visitors see not only the historic building, but the Fetherstons' treasures of glass, ceramics, textiles, furniture, paintings, Pennsylvania German decorative arts, and Oriental art. It truly is a world-class museum in a small town.
Sones Farm & Home Museum

Outdoor Adventure
Mountain Biking
If you like Mountain Biking, there are many trails within driving distance. Pack your bikes, lunches and family in your vehicle and hit the trails. They range from 10 miles to 42 miles of easy, intermediate and advance trails. Contact the Susquehanna Valley Visitors Bureau at 1-800-525-7320 for a detailed map and complete instructions.
If you're in it for the day sun up to sun down, starting at Lewisburg's Bucknell University, there is a 42 mile trail along Penns Creek.
This ride takes you through beautiful countrysides and allows you to stop at many different places. Pottery shops, restaurants, specialty

If you do not mind driving a little further, the Pine Creek Rails to Trails path is a fantastic 67 mile groomed trail that winds through beautiful forests and past mountain streams. This flat stone trail provides

Canoeing & Kayaking
The Susquehanna River is the longest river on the East Coast of the US. It is a very shallow water way that is not suitable for large water craft, which means it is perfect for the canoe and
kayak enthusiast. The river has Class I to Class III water in our area, as well as a wide variety of diverse ecology to enjoy. Launch permits are required if you bring your own equipment,

Artisan Tour
